Uke-mochi gets very happy by seeing him, and then she prepares a feast with more than 100 different plates 02:13.640 --> 02:21.640 But she prepares this as a goddess of food by vomiting this food, and Shikoyomi thinks this is all disgusting 02:21.640 --> 02:33.640 so he gets furious and then he kills Uke-mochi. Amaterasu thinks this is very bad, a very bad situation, but she sees from another angle too 02:33.640 --> 02:41.640 When Uke-mochi dies, her body becomes food, her body becomes abundance and prosperity 02:41.640 --> 02:48.640 From her forehead, from her fingers, from her genitals, we have all the abundance in the planet 02:48.640 --> 02:58.640 Different kinds of food, plants, animals, and everything else. But her story is depicted in the Kojiki, the first book, the oldest book 03:08.640 --> 03:15.640 In her story, we have another Amaterasu brother, Shintaro, the god of peace and so on 03:15.640 --> 03:23.640 When Shintaro is expelled from the celestial plane because he is always misbehaving, he comes down to earth 03:23.640 --> 03:28.640 And then he gets hungry, so he goes after Ogetsuhime and asks for food 03:28.640 --> 03:36.640 She is very pleased to see him and to help him, so she serves him a feast by vomiting 100 different plates 03:36.640 --> 03:44.640 A very similar story. So a way to get close to them is by sharing food with people you love 04:51.640 --> 05:01.640 And until today, we spend food offering our names for them.
