Anyway, what we've come to is amazing and uh there's always a push to 00:38.659 --> 00:42.259 oh, you know, just uh fellowship with anyone that says they believe in 00:42.259 --> 00:47.110 in Jesus. And uh boy, how do you should see what's happening out there for Pete 00:47.110 --> 00:53.720 In, under the name of Jesus. There's so much terrible stuff happening that uh people who proclaim 00:53.720 --> 00:59.279 they believe in Jesus, they're using the brand name, they're putting on a false 00:59.549 --> 01:05.709 a false product. And uh I could go on all day the stuff I just 01:05.709 --> 01:10.800 ah, I won't, there's just, it's horrendous like you just, just couldn't believe it 01:11.849 --> 01:15.790 you know. And the, and the latest thing is that, uh just believe in Jesus 01:16.610 --> 01:21.540 uh we believe in Jesus, but not the Bible. I mean, how on earth can you even know 01:21.540 --> 01:25.389 Jesus without the Bible. But that's, that is the latest trend and it's huge 01:26.160 --> 01:34.059 And uh you know, um you know, I'm believing in Jesus is a good thing 01:35.330 --> 01:39.230 Either to believe in me will have eternal life. The Lord said 01:40.279 --> 01:45.180 you know what Jesus are you believing in? I mean, you've got to believe in the Jesus of the Bible 01:45.180 --> 01:52.410 not some made up fictitious manmade image or idol and name it the same 01:54.819 --> 01:59.400 So many, so many below. The big thing in religion in Christianity today is 01:59.400 --> 02:05.010 uh, uh, obviously give your heart to the Lord. I just cannot get my head around how a baptism is a work when you sit in a Baptist 02:21.350 --> 02:28.059 But there's nothing of yourself. You're so humbled. Somebody else is doing the baptizing like it's just 02:28.770 --> 02:33.910 and I actually heard a good ogy the other day. Oh, months ago I read and I 02:33.910 --> 02:37.460 I'm not sure how sack it went, but it was like, you know 02:37.460 --> 02:42.570 they just, we can have, there's absolutely nothing of ourselves we can do to be saved 02:42.570 --> 02:46.779 Which is true. Jesus saves us. But what if you're down a 40 ft 02:46.779 --> 02:51.320 Well, right, you're down a 40 ft. Just what with K and 04:12.500 --> 04:19.290 in my personal testament, I believed all my life always. Do you think as soon as you get baptized 04:54.820 --> 04:59.239 as soon as you believe, you receive the holy ghost? But you do 04:59.239 --> 05:03.959 you just believe it. There's no way of knowing for sure. You just got to accept that you have 05:03.959 --> 05:09.109 they, they call believing the same as being born again. Believing is the first step 05:09.109 --> 05:14.600 No doubt about it. It's not the same as being born again. And I know many people here who used to be churchgoers who were believers 05:25.279 --> 05:32.829 If you like, they didn't have the Holy Ghost till they received the holy ghost that spoke in tongues 05:32.829 --> 05:38.739 You know, it's more than speaking in tongues for those who I haven't received it yet 05:38.829 --> 05:43.100 It's border speaking, speaking tongues, lets me know. I've received it. Lets the person praying with me know 05:43.290 --> 05:49.779 lets everybody else around me know I've received the Holy Spirit. But what happens on the inside is unexplainable 05:50.540 --> 05:57.829 It is the unspeakable gift. It's life transforming. It's powerful. It turns gamblers into non gamblers 05:57.829 --> 06:04.630 drunkards into non drunkards, drugs into non-drug as it transforms your life 06:05.410 --> 06:14.029 And you know, you know, when you receive the Holy Spirit, so many here have gone through uh what they you know 06:14.029 --> 06:18.380 in the Church of England or Anglican. Now, the uh confirmation service 06:18.790 --> 06:23.299 that's when you're supposed to receive the Holy Spirit and nothing happens. Nothing 06:25.940 --> 06:33.410 It's just, I'm saddened, I see uh popular podcasters all over the internet who are enquiring 06:33.779 --> 06:40.170 They have religious people, they have Christian leaders coming onto their podcasts and they say to these guys 06:40.170 --> 06:45.529 I cannot, they say I cannot believe in Christianity. It's just another myth because there is no proof 06:45.529 --> 06:49.450 There is no evidence and these and not one after one, these guys say, yeah, there's no proof 06:49.450 --> 06:54.649 there's no evidence. You just gotta believe there is proof. There is evidence 06:57.709 --> 07:06.829 God, God give signs following. He gives evidence. Now Jesus is sitting at the right hand 07:06.829 --> 07:11.959 of the father sending a holy ghost on whoever asks and when someone gets filled 07:11.959 --> 07:18.019 the holy ghost starts speaking in tongues. There is the evidence that he's where he said he would be doing what he said he would 07:18.019 --> 07:25.709 be doing. It's a powerful, it's a gospel of power. If those who don't want to believe 07:25.709 --> 07:30.989 they'll argue the cows come home. But I'm gonna, you know, I'm just gonna address some of the 07:30.989 --> 07:38.010 the things I've heard. I have the most. No better place to start Acts Two or just go 07:38.010 --> 07:43.079 oh There's another criticism. You always go to the book of Acts man 07:43.730 --> 07:48.500 Why you got some of it up the Book of Acts, it's called 07:48.500 --> 07:54.380 it's the Acts of the apostles. It's, it's the Action of the apostles 07:55.309 --> 08:00.480 And the book of Acts is, is, is the book of Revival. It's the, it's the book of evangelism 08:00.940 --> 08:05.510 It's the book of conversion. You want to see how people were 08:05.510 --> 08:15.350 were preached to and how they were converted. It's in the Book of Acts and all the other books are written to 08:15.350 --> 08:19.989 the ch to these people. The Book of Action is like how to get saved 08:19.989 --> 08:24.779 And the rest of the book is how to stay saved. It's what you've come to 08:24.779 --> 08:29.779 It's what it explains more, what you've experienced, explains how to behave 08:29.839 --> 08:37.770 explains how things work. But the Book of Acts is how I will convert it 08:39.859 --> 08:46.090 And that's why I go to the Book of Acts. The rest of the there's pastoral letters and there's all sorts of things in the 08:46.090 --> 08:55.260 rest of the New Testament that's written to the already converted. The Book 08:55.260 --> 08:59.380 of Acts is where the action was. And that's why I gave the Book of Acts 09:02.869 --> 09:07.119 But there's plenty of people out there who try to explain away what happens in it too 09:07.119 --> 09:11.690 So let's see how we go and no better place. Acts two verse one 09:11.690 --> 09:19.119 Obviously, we've heard it a million times if you've been in a fl as you when the Day of Pentecost was fully come off 09:19.119 --> 09:23.750 First of all, this is written by Luke, right? This is like Luke part two 09:24.960 --> 09:33.969 you have the gospel of Luke and then Luke continues to write the book of Acts people seem to miss that in the world or 09:33.969 --> 09:43.380 in Christianity. This is the continuation. He finished the book of Luke Tari Ye in Jerusalem to be endued with power from on high 09:44.760 --> 09:52.330 So we've read in I if you read It Acts One, they waited in Jerusalem and here's where they're being endued with power from on 09:52.330 --> 09:57.200 high end means clothed upon, clothed upon with power from on high 09:58.450 --> 10:01.989 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place 10:01.989 --> 10:07.969 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as a rushing mighty wind and through all the house where they were sitting and there appeared 10:07.969 --> 10:14.869 unto them cloven tongues like there's a fire and it was upon each of them and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and 10:14.869 --> 10:19.989 began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them the utterance 10:21.020 --> 10:28.679 You know, another argument out there about speaking in tongues. Oh, you're not saved by your own abilities like the spirit gives you the utterance 10:30.080 --> 10:35.140 Where's your ability in that? You and the people making that claim can't speak in tongues 10:36.039 --> 10:46.010 So obviously, it's not your ability. It's a gift from God. This 10:46.010 --> 10:52.049 is the first time the Holy Ghost was out poured in this fashion. We read on in this scripture in this 10:52.049 --> 10:58.359 in this how Peter got up and said, this is what was prophesized by the prophet Joel 11:00.489 --> 11:04.799 He also finished that little pre speech with whom God has raised 11:04.799 --> 11:09.510 Uh oh, sorry, he, he finished that with uh and if she'll come to pastor 11:09.510 --> 11:13.200 whosoever she'll call in the name of the Lord, she'll be saved. That's men 11:13.400 --> 11:22.469 that's men mentioned in Romans as well. And people just take that out of context, the exact verse she's relating to people being 11:22.469 --> 11:28.419 filled with the Holy God. This is the first time and uh quite often you get the accusation 11:28.419 --> 11:32.580 oh, you, you only make an assumption and that this happens every time. The thing is you 11:32.580 --> 11:38.890 the people make with telling us how to make an assumption that it doesn't happen like that every time 11:40.979 --> 11:49.440 And I'm gonna go through some stuff here where we'll see why assuming this happens every time is a better assumption than the other because 11:49.440 --> 11:54.849 there's a lot of proof in here. And so are the Peter preachers 11:54.849 --> 12:03.450 We go down to verse 37 and he says now when they heard this 12:03.450 --> 12:09.590 the people who he was preaching to, when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart and said unto Peter 12:09.590 --> 12:13.830 unto the rest of the apostles men and brethren, what shall we do? Now 12:13.830 --> 12:23.400 this happens every time we're preaching, when you, you testify about Jesus Christ and him crucified 12:24.460 --> 12:28.729 When you explain what it's all about, it's to prompt the question 12:28.729 --> 12:37.840 what shall we do? And I think it's presumptuous for people to change the answer 12:38.109 --> 12:44.700 that Peter gave right at the beginning in verse 38 Peter said unto them be bapt uh repent 12:44.700 --> 12:48.400 be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins 12:49.919 --> 12:55.950 And you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. So they've just witnessed 12:56.419 --> 12:59.929 they've just witnessed the gift of the Holy Ghost. They've come and asked 12:59.929 --> 13:04.099 what's this all about then? What do we do? Peter said, repent 13:04.099 --> 13:08.010 be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. And you'll receive this as well 13:08.640 --> 13:17.729 The Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues which they just witnessed on the 13:17.729 --> 13:22.450 internet in, in videos. And you know, the old good old Baptist 13:22.450 --> 13:26.890 I've seen them mock, mock this verse or you know that verse in act 13:28.409 --> 13:38.719 I just cannot believe it, you know, mocking it. And 13:38.719 --> 13:47.250 he says in verse 39 for the promise, remember, this is the promise of the father is unto you to your Children and to all 13:47.250 --> 13:52.489 that are far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call 13:53.090 --> 14:00.669 And with many other words, did he testify? And exhort saying, save yourselves from this untoward generation 14:01.809 --> 14:09.030 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized and the same day were added unto them about 3 14:09.030 --> 14:19.260 3000 souls. That's a big day of baptizing point 14:19.260 --> 14:27.150 One, especially for those who are against baptism, they that gladly receive his word got baptized 14:29.770 --> 14:35.969 those that those that argue and bicker about it. They're obviously not gladly receiving God's word 14:38.260 --> 14:45.780 But the first objection is see, oh, see, they didn't speak in tongues. There, 3000 people were added to the church and there's no mention 14:45.780 --> 14:54.130 that they spoke in tongues. So you shouldn't assume that they spoke in tongues is what they say 14:58.260 --> 15:05.140 Do we assume they receive the Holy Ghost? Cos there's no mention of receiving older ghost either 15:06.940 --> 15:11.479 And in verse 38 it says repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remiss to sin 15:11.479 --> 15:16.789 And you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, the whole purpose when he got up and preached and tell him to be baptized 15:18.780 --> 15:24.039 well, so that they could receive the Holy Ghost. So I think it's a fair assumption that they received the Holy Ghost 15:26.739 --> 15:31.450 which even those who are against speaking tongues will say, yes, yes. You've got to presume they've spoke in tongues 15:31.450 --> 15:36.000 So why do you have to presume then uh they'll say, you have to assume that they've received the Holy Ghost 15:36.690 --> 15:43.400 So why do you have to assume they received it differently? But in the beginning they spoke in tongues 15:47.880 --> 15:53.460 Let's go to Acts eight. Let me go through. I'm just picking out there's a ton of scriptures here 15:53.460 --> 16:00.570 I don't know if I'll get through them all. But X eight verse five 16:03.020 --> 16:08.039 then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ unto them 16:11.320 --> 16:19.380 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake hearing and seeing the miracles which he did for unclean spirits 16:19.380 --> 16:26.750 crying with a loud voice came out of many that were possessed with them and many taken with palsies that they were lame and were 16:26.750 --> 16:32.909 healed and there was great joy in the city. Many people will say 16:32.909 --> 16:37.979 you know what you tell when someone's got the Holy Spirit by their fruit. You know 16:37.979 --> 16:42.059 we're gonna see scriptures here where you can instantly tell when someone's through the Holy Spirit 16:42.059 --> 16:51.059 how long does it take for fruit to grow? You can tell an organization by their food but an individual you can tell has been 16:51.059 --> 16:57.859 filled with the holy ghost straight away. And then therefore, they would say these guys were saved and for and filled with the holy ghost 16:57.859 --> 17:05.619 Oh, there's miracles, there's healings, there's great joy in the city. They believe Phil game set match 17:05.619 --> 17:11.510 If you believe modern Christianity, as you can see, there's more to it here 17:12.479 --> 17:19.780 verse nine. But there was a certain man they uh called Simon which before time in the same city used sawtry and Bewitched the people 17:19.780 --> 17:25.989 of Samaria giving out that himself was some great one to whom they all gave heed from the least to the greatest saying 17:26.089 --> 17:32.920 this man is the great power of God and to him, they had regard because that of a long time 17:32.920 --> 17:42.079 he had Bewitched them with sorcery. But when they believe Philip preaching the things concerning the Kingdom of God and the name of 17:42.079 --> 17:46.810 Jesus Christ. They were baptized both men and women. Well, hang on 17:46.810 --> 17:53.569 That doesn't fit in with modern, modern, modern Christianity. He was preaching to them Jesus Christ 17:53.770 --> 17:58.599 And somehow out of that they worked out. We gotta be baptized. I mean 17:58.599 --> 18:06.219 you think he, he spoke about baptism. Then I remember watching this show 18:08.890 --> 18:13.380 one of, one of their mates on TV. And, um, there's a fellow on there 18:13.380 --> 18:16.910 they have a board, they have a, they sit around call studying the word or something 18:17.979 --> 18:21.890 This one guy I really like, he's so humble, he's so humble. He goes 18:22.140 --> 18:26.199 they're talking about, you know, you don't have to be baptized, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And uh 18:26.199 --> 18:32.160 he goes, oh, yes. But, uh, you know, it seems the early Christians had it different to us 18:32.160 --> 18:37.150 They seem to baptize people straight away, you know, and they just go 18:37.150 --> 18:50.119 oh, well, they didn't understand till Paul came along. That's just bizarre. And 18:50.119 --> 18:54.160 everywhere you'll see this when you see that they preach Jesus Christ 18:54.390 --> 19:03.459 the baptism followed water baptism. Then Simon himself believed also 19:03.900 --> 19:11.760 And when he was baptized, he continued with Philip and wondered the and beholding the miracles and Sims went and get this 19:11.939 --> 19:21.020 They believed, it says it there, Simon believed also. So these guys believed in Jesus Christ cos they 19:21.020 --> 19:25.810 believe Philip preaching the things concerning the Kingdom of God in the name of Jesus Christ 19:25.810 --> 19:33.099 They believed, they believed Philip preaching the things about the Kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ 19:33.250 --> 19:43.849 And they were baptized modern Christianity say, well, they're born again. They believed Simon 19:43.849 --> 19:53.069 believed and was baptized verse 14. Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that 19:53.069 --> 19:59.449 Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them, Peter and John who when they were come down 19:59.449 --> 20:07.449 prayed for them that they might receive the holy ghost for as yet he was fallen upon none of them 20:08.020 --> 20:12.469 Only this is an important word. We're gonna see this later on 20:12.569 --> 20:21.670 Only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And they laid their hands on them and they received the Holy 20:21.670 --> 20:26.989 Ghost. So they were, they believed they were baptized by full immersion 20:30.400 --> 20:38.229 but they had not received the Holy Ghost totally opposite to what you hear in religion 20:38.229 --> 20:44.390 Today. There was healings, there was miracles, there was great joy, demons were being cast out 20:46.280 --> 20:51.359 They believed they were baptized yet they had not received the Holy Ghost 20:51.540 --> 20:56.359 And it makes it clear that they only like it's not complete 20:56.359 --> 21:05.500 They'd only we're baptized and the apostles 21:05.500 --> 21:14.770 went down there to pray for him to receive the holy ghost. It doesn't mention 21:14.770 --> 21:22.520 speaking in tongues here. But in verse 18, and when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles hands 21:22.520 --> 21:32.089 the holy ghost was given, he offered them money. Something happened immediately 21:32.489 --> 21:43.739 instantly that even someone who did not have the Holy Ghost could tell that someone had just received the Holy Ghost speaking 21:43.739 --> 21:48.520 in tongues. So you, you gotta make your assumptions that speaking your tongues 21:48.520 --> 21:55.689 Where's the assumption? If that's that, that uh it's more presumptuous to say that they receive something different 21:55.689 --> 21:59.250 What was, what was, what was so special? What was so evident 21:59.250 --> 22:02.790 How could one minute someone tell that they did not have the Holy Ghost 22:02.790 --> 22:08.609 And the next minute they could tell they did, did have the Holy Ghost. Something happened 22:08.729 --> 22:16.319 evidence happened. Oh, something powerful must have happened. Or this must have happened 22:16.400 --> 22:23.189 Why, why go outside of the pattern that God has already shown to have taken place 22:27.020 --> 22:36.359 It's only logical to assume he spoke in tongues. Well, these people spoke in tongues 22:36.359 --> 22:47.630 and that's how they could tell they'd received the Holy Ghost. Um 22:50.319 --> 22:59.199 verse 20. But Peter said unto him, thy money perish with thee. Oh, only some of these modern Pentecostal preachers would listen to that my 22:59.199 --> 23:05.079 money perish with the because I thought that the gift of God maybe purchased with money 23:05.079 --> 23:10.000 Oh, so many websites. So many groups out there put your seed money with us 23:10.000 --> 23:15.410 They call it seed money. Yeah, they put it over there. Give it to us fertile ground 23:15.410 --> 23:18.920 Your seed will come back to you. It's like like some Ponzi scheme, give your money 23:19.319 --> 23:26.930 give your money to us, it'll grow, come back to you somehow. In verse 21 Peter says, thy 23:43.939 --> 23:49.660 thou hast neither part nor lot in this manner for thy heart is not right in the sight of God 23:49.660 --> 23:55.510 Oh, how dare Peter say that to Him? He believed shouldn't be always singing Kumbaya with each other 23:59.819 --> 24:05.140 I'm more humble than is off the stage. I, I believe he was a Jew. But anyway, 28 was returning and sitting in his 26:08.900 --> 26:13.449 chariot, he read Isaiah the prophet. It's very rare to have this 26:13.939 --> 26:21.439 the word like this. Then the spirit said to Philip, go near join thyself to this chariot and Philip read the to him and heard 26:21.439 --> 26:25.430 him read the prophet Isaias and said, under understand thou what thou read us 26:25.839 --> 26:32.319 And he said, how can I accept some men to guide me? So I gained no mention of receiving the holy ghost 39:44.899 --> 39:50.909 Maybe you've received it later. Luke just doesn't write about it. Then we go down to uh sorry 39:50.909 --> 39:59.919 verse 25. This is Paul and Silas 39:59.919 --> 40:04.620 and oh, this one's a big one. This is what theyre people quote a lot. Now, Paul did the baptism in well, Paul is 41:49.969 --> 41:55.280 that's one of them they do. So again, back to some followed preaching 41:56.760 --> 42:03.260 Obviously, they preach baptism. Again, it doesn't mention that they received the Holy Ghost 42:03.649 --> 42:07.939 Well, it doesn't mention speaking your tongues wood. It doesn't mention that they received the Holy Ghost. In fact 42:07.939 --> 42:15.020 throughout the book of Acts only five times during these conversions that actually mentions they received the Holy Ghost four times 42:15.020 --> 42:21.020 four times. They spoke in tongues. The fifth time was Simon Pe uh Simon who want a sorcerer who wanted to offer money 42:22.209 --> 42:34.050 Clearly, something evident happened when they received the Holy Ghost where Molas let's 42:34.050 --> 42:39.360 go to X 18. So that's verse eight 43:36.939 --> 43:44.090 Yeah, of verse 24. And a certain Jew named Apollos. I like this guy never met him 43:44.090 --> 43:53.290 but he sounds good. Born in Alexandra, an eloquent man and mighty in the scriptures came 43:53.290 --> 44:00.310 to Ephesus. This man was instructed in the way of the Lord and being fervent in the spirit 44:00.310 --> 44:09.209 he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord knowing only the baptism of John 44:09.209 --> 44:18.510 Remember that I, so Mary had received the word, the apostles had to come down to them for them to receive the Holy Spirit 44:18.510 --> 44:25.610 because they'd only been baptized. Looks, looks like this guy's in the same position 44:26.129 --> 44:32.479 Knowing only when that, that word only means there's gotta be more otherwise 44:32.479 --> 44:39.719 it wouldn't be only he knew only the baptism of John and he 44:39.719 --> 44:44.840 but he was, he believed. So he's someone who believed he's someone who was actually preaching the word 44:44.969 --> 44:51.080 This guy was full of full of verber. His spirit was moved to preach 44:51.429 --> 44:58.300 He was convincing many of the Jews to get baptized, but he had not received the Holy Ghost 45:03.090 --> 45:08.389 And he began to speak boldly in verse 26 in the synagogue, who when Aquila and Priscilla had heard 45:08.389 --> 45:14.449 they took him unto them and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly 45:16.320 --> 45:19.820 Oh, when they finished, when you knew more than only the baptism of John 45:22.820 --> 45:28.479 And uh you know, he went on his merry way preaching uh says 45:28.479 --> 45:38.719 cos he mildly convinced the Jews and that publicly showing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ then 45:39.189 --> 45:44.129 in verse nine. So we've had a, a lot of instances here where we're seeing baptism following the preaching of Jesus 45:44.370 --> 45:51.919 but no mention of the Holy Ghost. But that same thing happened to Paul 45:53.360 --> 45:56.979 We know Paul received the Holy Spirit. We know Paul spoke in tongues 45:56.979 --> 46:01.850 But in that passage of scripture, it only mentions him getting baptized. So why 46:01.850 --> 46:05.560 why do we have to assume that the same thing doesn't happen to everybody 46:07.149 --> 46:11.560 And of course, by our own personal testimony, we know that that's the case. We know 46:11.560 --> 46:15.300 we know it was chalk and cheese, what we were like before and after coming to the Lord 46:15.699 --> 46:22.879 many of us believe God all our life, the arch A 19 will finish here 46:25.919 --> 46:30.679 And this is when you read the book of Ephesians, this is, this is the start of that book 46:30.800 --> 46:34.300 This, this is the People in that church. This is how that church began 46:34.989 --> 46:39.100 Now I get the arguments though I see in Ephesians it says this therefore 46:39.100 --> 46:44.370 we don't have to do to speak in tongues. We don't have to receive them. Why would the again Book of Acts is the the 46:44.479 --> 46:48.729 book of in gathering the book of conversion, the book of how the church has started 46:48.729 --> 46:54.989 Why would they change course along the way? I say back, Sli Paul's writing these letters 46:54.989 --> 47:03.459 Paul Paul here in acts 19 since we're reading about to the Ephesians and then he writes the book of Ephesians 47:03.459 --> 47:08.870 why would he, why would he have a conflict? Why, why would it be something different acts 47:08.870 --> 47:14.239 19. It came to pass that while Apollo was at Corinth Paul 47:14.239 --> 47:20.419 having passed through the upper coast, came to Ephesus and finding certain disciples 47:20.419 --> 47:26.459 These, these are disciples. These are people who believe and he said 47:26.459 --> 47:33.179 unto them, have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed? And they said 47:33.179 --> 47:36.770 and we have not so much as heard whether there'd be any holy ghost 47:38.000 --> 47:45.919 I was like that in my early days. What's this Holy Ghost and your age stuff they're on about never heard of it so foreign 47:46.399 --> 47:51.469 It, it's much more common. Now people talk about it back back in the day 47:52.810 --> 47:58.790 This wasn't spoken about. So now, so these were believers, these were disciples 47:58.790 --> 48:02.909 We've never even heard about the Holy Ghost verse three. He said on them 48:03.050 --> 48:09.040 well, well, to what were you baptized? And they said unto John's baptism 48:09.040 --> 48:14.459 So here we have a similar thing I knew about John's baptism 48:16.489 --> 48:22.659 And then said, Paul John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance saying unto the people that they should believe on him 48:22.659 --> 48:27.919 which should come after him. That is on Christ Jesus. When they heard this 48:27.919 --> 48:32.020 they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul laid his hands upon them 48:32.020 --> 48:38.500 the holy ghost came on them and they spoke with tongues and prophesized and there was 12 blocks 48:40.000 --> 48:48.419 there was 12 people. There's a pattern there and it's, I think it's very presumptuous to assume 48:51.120 --> 48:55.739 you know, when, when you're accused of, oh, you only, you can only assume that that happened 48:56.469 --> 49:01.879 Why do you have to assume that it didn't, they can only assume it did 49:03.469 --> 49:10.449 Whereas everywhere, the full gospels may, everywhere believe in Christ, everywhere get baptized and everywhere 49:11.219 --> 49:16.280 Like I said, five times in the script. You know, ah, speaking in tongues is only mentioned so many times in the book of 49:16.280 --> 49:20.040 actually, you know, it's mentioned more times than repentance. They don't argue about being, you have to repent 49:20.800 --> 49:29.179 It's just bizarre. You know, just bizarre. We've done to something powerful 49:29.179 --> 49:37.580 powerful. That's what's changed their lives. I said it. I said it in a talk not too long ago 49:37.580 --> 49:44.010 Remember your first week when we see the Holy Spirit chalk and chase one day you had 49:44.010 --> 49:50.159 didn't have a clue. And then in an instant you knew God was real because he filled you with the holy ghost 49:50.290 --> 49:54.280 And you know what, when you were out in that prayer room and you started speaking in tongues 49:54.280 --> 49:58.449 everybody else in that prayer room knew in an instant that you'd received the Holy ghost 49:58.449 --> 50:00.530 That's a real confirmation.
