So this is more of an overview afterwards. I will kind of just 00:22.160 --> 00:29.920 demonstrate the yes what's in the box obviously but it's pretty simple packaging so there we 00:30.000 --> 00:36.000 We do have a little nice pouch right here. It's a hard case, so that's pretty nice 00:36.000 --> 00:48.000 And inside we get the actual controller. So if I take it out, the little rubber band might not be the best kind of addition right here 00:48.000 --> 00:53.000 It kind of catches on the edges. Now there we go. So there's our controller 00:53.000 --> 00:59.000 As you can see, it's the telescopic one. So it stretches. And it can fit basically the chunkiest phone 00:59.000 --> 01:09.160 the chunkiest phones that can possibly think of. I do have one specifically right here that I think it's the biggest phone right now on the market 01:09.160 --> 01:14.760 I could be wrong but if it's not, obviously it's going to be very close to one 01:14.760 --> 01:26.020 And it will fit in here no problem. And we also get these little things so we have a rubber tips on here that you can put on 01:26.020 --> 01:33.440 the joysticks. So we have a convex ones by default. As you can see, let's move that out of the way 01:33.440 --> 01:40.400 So these are... Camera, come on. We have 03:19.460 --> 03:27.380 xY b or a and b and we have the two different joysticks we have a epaubr right here and we have a 03:28.820 --> 03:49.300 button the right and left button and then we also have the right and left trigger and just to kind of go into it the triggers themselves are clicky so they're not like what's the name linear or whatever uh they're basically have an either on or off position they don't have like the in between like for instance xbox or 03:49.460 --> 03:57.500 or PlayStation controllers do where you just press it halfway and it's just kind of giving half of the input or 03:57.500 --> 04:05.000 however you want to like close it call it so as an example in racing games if you press this it's either 04:05.000 --> 04:10.980 full throttle or no throttle at all opposed to what you normally have like an Xbox controller 04:10.980 --> 04:15.700 where you just press it halfway and it gives you half of the throttle for some that might be a bummer 04:15.700 --> 04:22.700 honestly for like phone gaming and I don't mean like racing games I haven't really needed it 04:22.700 --> 04:29.280 obviously for racing games this probably would be a very nice thing to have but for that there is a 04:29.280 --> 04:37.280 pro version of it so the gameser x2 pro which does have this kind of triggers so obviously that's 04:37.280 --> 04:43.540 one of the downsides honestly to me like I said it didn't really bother me and I've used this for 04:43.540 --> 04:49.620 majority of the week. And like I said, extensively use this. Additionally 04:49.780 --> 04:53.820 battery life on here, it's pretty nice. I think I charged it like three times 04:53.820 --> 05:01.460 throughout the week or so. So the battery lasts pretty well. And probably one of the reasons why the battery 05:01.460 --> 05:05.560 lasts a decent amount of time here is because, like I said, it has no 05:05.560 --> 05:11.360 rumble, no vibration motors, so it's only sending input it or whatever you press to the phone 05:11.360 --> 05:21.140 over Bluetooth. Now, I've been using this with my fold 4 for the majority of the time, or actually for the entirety of the time 05:21.860 --> 05:27.400 And this phone probably you might be thinking it's pretty big. Not really, not in a grand scheme of things 05:27.500 --> 05:33.880 There are phones that are bigger. So because the way you put it in is just not going to be unfolding it 05:34.220 --> 05:43.320 So you put it like this, right? I mean, if you unfold it, it's the same size. As you can see the buttons on here will be Xbox like so we have x 10:30.422 --> 10:36.762 Y, A, B and so on. And other than that the controller works just flawlessly. Now 10:36.762 --> 10:43.502 downside of a G-Forse now is that you need an internet connection and a pretty okay one 10:43.502 --> 10:50.862 I have been using G-Fords now on the absolutely worst internet connection I could ever imagine 10:50.862 --> 10:55.222 And it still worked though I needed to go through hoops to 10:55.222 --> 11:01.122 basically make it work. So I lowered down the bitrate to like six, I believe it was 11:01.742 --> 11:06.062 with a smaller resolution just so I can run it, and still it was struggling. But right here 11:06.062 --> 11:11.282 at work where I am at right now, with a gigabit internet, even though it's being shared between 11:11.282 --> 11:17.142 everybody that is here, it's still working pretty well. You can possibly see a little bit of a delay 11:19.622 --> 11:30.762 Obviously, it's still being streamed from Nvidia servers to the phone. and also on a Bluetooth connection so there might be a couple things that add input lag to it but 11:30.762 --> 11:37.482 in general when you're playing this it's not as as bad as you might imagine can actually 11:37.482 --> 11:42.442 turn off the lights a little bit hopefully this will make it look a little bit better 11:42.442 --> 11:55.082 and for some reason this is Mac's brightness but the phone is still trying to 11:55.242 --> 11:59.802 to control the brightness. Now I believe this is just due to a 12:11.482 --> 12:19.482 dynamic range of the camera. I can actually see what's right here, personally. So yeah, I can see this very clearly this looks way better than it does on the camera, obviously, but quickly just going through here 12:35.022 --> 12:49.142 Let's see, we got this guy right there. Obviously significantly lower than the resolution of this phone's capability 13:36.605 --> 13:40.865 And another thing that annoys a living hellatomy about G4's now is the 13:40.865 --> 13:47.665 their bullshit way to lock settings, or like settings, they're not really lacking the settings 13:47.745 --> 13:52.465 They're just reverting it back to what they did save at the beginning 13:53.465 --> 13:58.645 Now, there is a premium version that you can obviously pay. So if we just count pixel rate 17:16.325 --> 17:20.425 1080p has a higher pixel count than the 5x4 that they're offering 17:20.545 --> 17:27.025 which just gets you scammed even more, and that's the only 5x4 resolution that will basically be accessible to us 17:27.025 --> 17:37.105 to anybody who's using fold. And that's a little bit garbage. Now, I do know that I kind of went from talking about the controller 17:37.105 --> 17:43.465 to talking about streaming or stream or geforce now more precisely but that is basically what i've 17:43.465 --> 17:50.165 been using this with primarily and what i believe is this kind of thing being kind of designed for 17:50.165 --> 17:58.045 users like that that prefer to utilize cloud streaming it is a full-fledged controller and obviously gets 17:58.045 --> 18:06.845 you all the controls that that you'd get from a typical typical controller 18:07.105 --> 18:11.905 you can obviously connect a things like an x-box controller and it will work just fine 18:15.905 --> 18:21.505 there we go so yeah you could connect an x-box controller and it will work just fine or uh use this 18:21.505 --> 18:25.825 and it works just as well the only downside is this is a little bit less comfortable because of 18:25.825 --> 18:30.305 this like jagged edge right here but in terms of convenience to have your phone like stored in 18:30.305 --> 18:36.625 here it's just kind of laying in here it works just flawlessly um obviously with better internet you will have a 18:36.625 --> 18:45.745 lower latency than probably you're seeing right now. And yeah, obviously also for geforce now you could use on-screen controllers 18:45.745 --> 18:49.665 but I will be honest these are kind of garbage and they add massive amounts of 18:49.665 --> 18:54.065 latency so I don't recommend it. And this has been working just falllessly for me 18:54.625 --> 19:05.825 It's really nice, nice design. I'm gonna turn that off right now. There we go. Also, the quality of this, in terms of like how it feels in hand, it's pretty nice 19:15.185 --> 19:21.445 It's solid. The buttons are solid as well. Obviously maybe you plug in it, plug in your phone to a TV 19:41.965 --> 19:45.665 I'm pretty sure it still should work on like a couple meters away 19:45.665 --> 20:03.147 It is working on a Bluetooth controller or Bluetooth connectivity, so there should be no problem with that And one thing that I will say is a downside at least for the Bluetooth version of it is you basically need to charge both things separately meaning like your phone and your controller 20:03.507 --> 20:08.487 For the controller, it is down here at the bottom. Obviously, it charges no problem 20:09.147 --> 20:13.247 But when it comes down to a phone like this one, when you pop it in here 20:13.347 --> 20:18.407 obviously you have a charging port right over here, and you have no way of plugging in any kind of charging to the device 20:18.827 --> 20:25.467 device when it's in here. One thing that kind of made it really nice for me to have a fold is 20:25.467 --> 20:31.387 if I unfold it, my charging part is right over here, and I can literally slop it in here 20:31.387 --> 20:37.227 like so. And you can see I still have access to my charging port. So that is one of the nicer 20:37.227 --> 20:44.747 thing about a folding device specifically with this. And obviously if you're not charging it 20:44.747 --> 20:48.807 you can shift it to be in the middle. So both edges will kind of be just 20:48.807 --> 20:54.907 to show this off, we'll be sticking out just a little bit. Additionally, obviously, this is holding the phone pretty nicely 21:04.667 --> 21:12.247 It's not falling out. It has rubber grammats on both sides. I really like this, this little toy right here, it's been working solidly for me 22:26.267 --> 22:31.147 It made like a trip that I had out of the country with my device to be super pleasant 22:31.147 --> 22:36.267 at least for like gaming-wise. With the controller, I didn't need to bring my bulky Xbox 22:36.267 --> 22:40.347 controller or anything like that, and obviously it's holding your phone as well. The battery 22:40.347 --> 22:44.187 has been solid, so yeah, in general it's a really nice device 22:45.707 --> 22:55.267 Now I did learn that there is a pro version a little bit later after I put this one sadly. And there is also an X3 version, a newer version of this, which I have not 22:55.267 --> 23:01.187 had my hands on yet. That one comes with a fan though because I'm primarily doing a cloud 23:01.187 --> 23:07.687 gaming. I don't really care for the fan. It adds extra bulk to the controller itself and obviously 23:07.687 --> 23:15.107 adds cooling to the device which this becomes kind of like a thermal pod where it just kind 23:15.107 --> 23:25.227 of you know you put your phone, your phone kind of sticks to it and becomes a thermal. pad which draws the heat away from the phone and gets cooled by the fan which is located at the back somewhere here 23:25.227 --> 23:32.587 but cloud gaming doesn't really have a problem with the phone overheating so that's really useless for me 23:32.587 --> 23:39.707 and the build quality seems to be at least seems to be i might be completely incorrect very similar to 23:39.707 --> 23:48.107 this and this is just a little bit smaller which is what i prefer um or at least i think i prefer this 23:48.827 --> 23:59.047 One thing that I'll mention is when you're holding this, if you have a small hands, you might be just comfortable with this for my little bit bigger adult hands 24:00.087 --> 24:07.887 It's a little bit wonky. There's not enough bulk in here, as you would normally have with like an Xbox controller or PlayStation controller 24:08.507 --> 24:13.527 So you just kind of like have it rested and you just, well, do this 24:13.527 --> 24:22.387 There is also a little bit of a... kind of like a weird placement of the buttons 24:22.987 --> 24:27.967 They resemble, obviously, a lot even, like, in the color scheme, a switch controller 24:31.247 --> 24:37.607 I don't know if that's a good thing or not. I haven't really used a switch, so I can't really say how comparable these are 24:38.267 --> 24:43.527 But one thing that I had a problem with is when you're holding it, number one, Xbox controller 24:43.527 --> 24:47.807 I kind of have both of my fingers on both of the triggers or buttons and triggers 24:47.807 --> 24:56.127 here it's very uncomfortable to do this like this. Your hands kind of become like just twisted in weird ways that isn't very comfortable 24:56.947 --> 25:03.967 So I just use my index, no, pointing fingers, and do this 25:04.327 --> 25:11.007 And also like when holding it like this, you can see the stick is basically just somewhere like right here, my thumb, instead of being under my thumb 25:12.247 --> 25:17.787 And because these are shifted like an Xbox controller, you hold the content 25:17.787 --> 25:22.487 controller like your hand here, the right hand is significantly lower than the right 25:22.487 --> 25:27.507 than the left one, just so you can comfortably use both of the triggers and it just kind 25:27.507 --> 25:32.507 of creates this lopsided feel. I'd recommend this if you're planning to pick it up 25:45.527 --> 25:55.607 I bought it relatively cheaply off of some of it. one. So it's been technically secondhand though it hasn't been used at all. It's basically in 25:55.607 --> 26:04.987 perfect condition. I did scoff it up more using myself than it was from the box. And I believe I paid 26:04.987 --> 26:12.807 for it $30, something like that. So for 30 bucks this is a freaking fantastic controller 26:12.807 --> 26:17.787 for super cheap for your device.
