Welcome to Disney this day. I'm Egon

00:07.440 --> 00:10.400
Bonkers. And on this day in 2005, the

00:10.400 --> 00:13.040
British animated feature Valiant was

00:13.040 --> 00:16.000
released in US theaters and distributed

00:16.000 --> 00:19.520
by Disney. Set in 1944 at the height of

00:19.520 --> 00:22.400
World War II, humble woodland pigeon

00:22.400 --> 00:25.199
Valiant bravely steps up to serve his

00:25.199 --> 00:27.760
country in the Royal Homing pigeon

00:27.760 --> 00:30.640
service. The film was inspired by true

00:30.640 --> 00:32.719
stories of the homing pigeons that

00:32.719 --> 00:35.200
assisted soldiers during the war.

00:35.200 --> 00:37.440
Valiant stars Euan McGregor in the title

00:37.440 --> 00:40.640
role along with Tim Curry, Ricky Jerves,

00:40.640 --> 00:43.840
Jim Broadbent, and John Cles. And it was

00:43.840 --> 00:46.559
released 20 years ago today. Did you see

00:46.559 --> 00:48.480
it? Did you love it? I thought it was

00:48.480 --> 00:52.840
pretty fun. Anyway, have a magical day.
